BikeSSI group ride on Feb 21, 2026.
Thank you Bike SSI ( https://bikessi.com/ ) for getting this ride together. We’ll meet Saturday, Feb 21, 2026, between 8:30 and 9 am, for free coffee, at Monkeywrench Bicycles ( 1708 Frederica Rd, St Simons Island, Georgia ). The ride will start 9 am from Monkeywrench and our 8.9 mi route follows demere, to Mallery Street, past Mallery Park, through Pier Village, we’ll ride by the pool and lighthouse, and follow, beach side streets to King and Prince, and then follow ocean blvd. to Goulds inlet. The way back follows marshside East Beach to the causeway, and Demere/Old Demere back to neighborhoods and to Monkeywrench.
The ride will be at a casual pace of 8-10 mph, with stops along the way, and coffee available before and after the ride.
Riders from novice to expert are welcome. Riders should know bike ride best practices, including using multi-use paths, traffic crossings, and casual riding on side streets. Riders are responsible for their own safety, and for members in their group who might need additional help.
